METZTITLÁN

Another phenomenal destination for this vacation: a fantastic architectural walk in the ex-convent of the Holy Kings in Metztitlán. A few hours of travel will take you to Metztitlán, where you can visit an incredible monument, considered one of the most important historical monuments in the state of Hidalgo. It is built in the center of the town and within the Barranca de Metztitlán Biosphere Reserve. The name of the Three Wise Men refers to a relief painting located in the center of the altar of the church, in which the Three Wise Men adore the newborn Jesus. This convent is still inhabited and attached to the Augustinian Province of Mexico.
